Athletes aiming to be selected for the World University Games in Belgrade, July 6-11 - 2009 should note:
(1) The first round of selections will be made after the AAI Games in Athlone I.T. on Sunday, May17. Participation in these Games is strongly recommended especially for potential members of 4×400 squad (should one be included in the Team).
(2) June 1st. is the deadline for WUG entries. A second round of selections will be made on that day.
(3) The Teams will be announced on Tuesday, June 9th.
N.B. Any athlete who has not reached the WUG Standard by June 1st. & who intends competing for the standard between June 1st. & June 18th. must inform:
